Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation


Therapeutic and rehabilitative medicine (PM & R), also referred to as physiatrist or rehabilitation medicine, aims to improve and restore function and quality of life for people with physical or mental diseases that affect the brain, spinal cord, nerves, bones, joints, muscles, tendons, and muscles. Through physical therapy and rehabilitation, people who have suffered physiological losses due to illnesses or injuries can regain them. The expression is widely used to describe all medical professionals, not just doctors.
